Whether you’ve played a few hands or you’re a newbie, there’s a chance that you haven’t heard the phrase “Suicide King”. It refers to a card in high-stakes poker that depicts a king with a sword through his heart. It’s a term popularized in the book “The Professor, The Banker, and the Suicide King”.

The Suicide King card is one of many different types of cards that can be used in Poker. Some games use jokers, while others may add specific wild cards. Regardless of the type of cards, each poker hand is made up of five cards.

The highest card in the hand wins the pot. In a tie, the second pair or higher card is awarded. In a three-way tie, the highest unmatched fifth card is awarded.

The game is generally divided into two or more betting intervals, with each interval beginning with a bet of a single chip. As the betting continues, players make bigger bets. Once the bets are equalized, the last interval is a “showdown” where the winning hand is revealed.

In some poker games, the dealer will shuffle the cards in the pack before the game begins. This makes the game faster. The standard pack of 52 cards is typically used. The dealer will also assign a value to each chip before the game starts.

The cards in a pack are ranked from Ace to Ace. If there are four of a kind, the highest card outside the four of a kind is awarded.
